FYE Momentum Overview Deploy Momentum Development Process First-Year Experience

Momentum Overview

Our curriculum is built upon the principles and research of Positive Student Development and works to push students to develop and grow in the five critical component areas of Positive Student Development: Hope, Curiosity, Zest, Altruistic Love and Persistence.

Students purchase a workbook that gives them access to a website that is populated by students utilizing the curriculum. Each week, the site reveals another aspect of the course. The site is filled with videos, e-learning modules, simulations, and virtual connections. Universities that have all first-year students utilize the curriculum may choose to deploy the on-line sessions through the CommonsU.

Beta Testing Overview

Eileen Hulme has put together a brief overview video of what it means to be a beta test site for our Momentum curriculum.  Take a few minutes to learn more about how your campus can get involved with this cutting-edge approach to FYE programs and courses.
